The pictures of the pipe band that I shot at the weekend were used in Tuesday’s Inverness Courier and today’s Highland News. Here is the version in today’s paper.

KIND-HEARTED coffee shop customers and members of the public helped raise funds for the people of Ukraine as part of an initiative led by High Life Highland (HLH).

All over-the-counter takings at HLH sites last weekend are to be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal.

Chief executive Steve Walsh said: “We have all seen the awful scenes from Ukraine and I am delighted and honoured that High Life Highland customers and staff have worked so selflessly together this weekend to help those in desperate need.

“For the Highland Weekend of Action for Ukraine, High Life Highland visitor attractions, leisure centres, libraries, archive centres, music students and museums have been raising funds for the cause.

“Due to the amazing efforts of our customers and staff, we are very proud to be able to donate our takings – which are currently being counted and will be announced later this week – to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) appeal for Ukraine.”

The City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band played for crowds in the High Street on Saturday and also collected donations, raising £363.95 – and 1.30 in Euros – during their half hour performance.
