To say I felt uncomfortable taking this court snatch picture would be an understatement. She had accused her boss of rape and as any other victim of a sex crime she was assured anonymity.

The description I was given was brilliant – the reporter said she looked like the woman out of Taggart.

But I took the shot anyway and the Daily Mail used the photo with her face obscured.

Having said that at the end of the trial at Newcastle Crown Court the judge ordered that she should be named because her case had failed.

The unobscured photo appeared in a number of publications including The Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Star, The Guardian and The Scotsman.
