At sea: Thursday July 19, 2012:

It was a day at sea so we had a nice lie in before ordering a room service breakfast. I then had a wander around the ship and I could not help but feel nice and relaxed.
I later had a beef baguette sandwich for lunch before attending a photo lecture by one of the on board snappers. There were some good tips especially about the various camera exposure modes and memory cards. I also wandered into part of an astronomy lecture.
Tonight was our first formal dinner, we were all suited and booted as it it was black tie, and met up with Karen Snaith afterwards.
Copenhagen in Denmark: Friday, July 20, 2012:
We got up an hour earlier than we should have because the clocks went forward overnight as we travelled east. The tour was free time at four sites in the city which was a good tour to see four popular tourist traps.
We started off at Amalienborg Royal Palace when it started to rain but it cleared up soon afterwards. We had a massive sandwich at Gommel Strand. At the Tivoli Gardens there was a timely warning about pickpockets. Lastly, we wandered back to the Little Mermaid statue and fountain.
And we were back to the ship shortly after 2pm. After getting cleaned up we went for dinner at Marco Pierre White’s restaurant – the Ocean Grill. Starter was quails’ eggs, the main course was Gressingham Duck, and Eton mess for dessert. Basically the food was excellent.
