There was no post yesterday because I was at the annual Highlands & Islands Press Ball and Media Awards event.

It was held at the Kingsills Hotel and it is always a good night and a chance to catch up with media friends from across the Highlands and Islands who I have not seen in a while.

Hats off to my colleague Andrew Henderson who deservedly won the feature writer of the year award for his Pride on the Terraces coverage and my former colleague Donald Wilson who was awarded the Barron Trophy lifetime achievement award.
