After last week’s launch of his manifesto in Penrith Markus Campbell-Savours got on the campaign trail yesterday in Wigton.

He is the Labour candidate for the Penrith and Solway constituency and I have decided to follow his campaign because he is hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps into Parliament. Dale Campbell-Savours was the MP for Workington and now sits in the House of Lords.

He was accompanied by a number of Cumbrian activists and it was good to see his connection with local residents on the doorstep.
