I had a bit of fun yesterday using my Facebook profile pic to generate an action figure of myself using Chat GBT. Yes I know it is quite trivial and we should all be wary of the monster on the horizon that is AI but to be honest the info that it used was already out there on this very website.

If we are being honest newspapers are already using AI to assist their reporters and I am comfortable with that because they are flagging up that they are using AI assisted reporters and always have a human review the output before it is published.

Having said that I am quite impressed with the results of my dabbling with Chat GBT which used this shot of me in Cable Street which was he scene of a famous battle where the locals stood up against Mosely’s supporters.

I was quite impressed that the algorithm picked up on the fact that I am a photojournalist but there are a few typos in its resulting picture (but hey that is AI).

While I am aware papers are using AI to generate stories but, if I am being honest, the generated images definitely look fake which I have issues with but that is another story.
