At sea: Saturday, July 21, 2012:

I got up about 8am because I am still confused with time at the moment. I am getting random texts from Vodafone telling me I am in unexpected countries.

I think we may have passed the German coast at about 5am, according to the network text, and there was an announcement that we were 12 nautical miles from Germany over tannoy.

I attended a second photography talk and there were some more top tips. It was another informative talk on travel photos and I got a few ideas (but we shall see if they work in practice).

It was a bit of a lazy afternoon and I went to the top deck to read but fell asleep. I am definitely getting de-stressed.

Helsinki in Finland: Sunday, July 22, 2012:

We wandered through the city, past the Parliament and through a small park, before visiting the Olympic Stadium and the Sebelius sculpture. It is expensive – three Euros for a cup of tea.

At Henry’s Pub the chicken wings were supposed to be mild but they definitely had a kick to them. There were music pics on the walls so must it be a good venue.

There were no trolls – trolls were the one souvenir that Karen wanted to buy. We had more of a wander and visited a bar across the road from the bus pick up point.

We didn’t have to wait too long for the bus and, after a quick shower, we went for curry night.
