I caught up with Markus Campbell-Savours on the campaign trail today in his hometown of Keswick where he was supporting Dave Allen who is Labour’s candidate for the role of Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

Markus is the Labour candidate for the Penrith and Solway constituency and I have decided to follow his campaign because he is hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps into Parliament. Dale Campbell-Savours was the MP for Workington and now sits in the House of Lords. So it will be interesting to see how that works out eh?

I have to admit the weather was a bit hit or miss but at least the rain held off on the whole. And it was a nice backdrop with the Lakeland hills which my photos do not do justice to.
